As the big day approaches, it's time to think about your race goal. Pacer Jonathan Zingman shares his perspectives on setting a goal, which he calls “an expression of what will motivate you to get to the finish line.” If this will be your first full or half, a good goal is simply to finish, without the pressure of any time expectations. More experienced runners can consider time-based goals, such as a personal record or Boston qualifying time. Ultimately, your goals are personal to YOU. Feel free to talk your pacer about your goals and how to make them work for you!
Jonathan Zingman is a long-time LJMS pacer and former director of the training program.
